Among the data collected by the Crowdbooks website, either autonomously or by third parties, are email addresses, passwords, cookies, usage data, various types of data and telephone numbers.
The Personal Data can be inserted voluntarily by the User, or collected automatically during the use of the Crowdbooks website.
The refusal to share certain Personal Data by the User could impede the Crowdbooks website in the delivery its services.

These figures can be referred to, if necessary, as Handling Managers by the Holder. The updated list of managers can be requested from the Holder of the Handled Data.

User Data is collected in order to allow the Holder to provide his services, as in the following purposes: Registration and authentication, Access to the accounts of third party services, Payment management, Statistics, to contact the User, Advertising, Management and sending of email messages, Remarketing and Behavioural Targeting, Hosting and backend infrastructure and Social features.

Facebook permissions requested by Crowdbooks
The Crowdbooks site could ask for certain Facebook permissions to allow it to perform certain actions with the User’s Facebook account and to collect information, including Personal Data from it.
The requested permissions are the following:
The basic information of a User registered on Facebook, which normally includes the following Data: Facebook ID, name, images, local language and localization type and, in some cases Facebook “Friends”. If a User has made public further Data, it will also be available.
Access to friends lists
Provides access to the friends lists that the User has created.
Provides access to the User’s primary email address.
Provides access to the User’s list of interests.
Details on the holding of Personal Data
1. Access to the accounts of third party services
This type of service allows the Crowdbooks website to extract Data from your account on third party services and perform actions with it. These services are not automatically activated but need the express authorization of the User.
Access to the Facebook account (from the Crowdbooks website)
This service allows the Crowdbooks website to connect to the User’s account on the Facebook social network, provided by Facebook Inc.
Requested permissions: access to friends list, Email, Interests and publication on the User’s Wall.
2. Contact the User
a) Mailing List or Newsletter (from the Crowdbooks website)
When registering on the Crowdbooks website the User’s email address is automatically inserted into a list of contacts to whom email messages containing information, even of a commercial or promotional nature, relative to the Crowdbooks site. The User’s email address could also be added to this list as a result of registration on the Crowdbooks site or after having made a purchase.

The Users who have provided their phone number could be contacted for commercial or promotional purposes related to Crowdbooks, as to satisfy support requests.

3. Payment management
The payment management services allow Crowdbooks to process payment via credit cards, bank transfer and other means. The Data used for payment is acquired directly by the manager of the payment service used without being in any way held by Crowdbooks.
Some of these services could also allow for the programmed sending of messages to the User in the form of emails containing invoices or payment notifications.
Personal data collected: fiscal code and VAT number (only if an invoice is requested, and in any case if the recipient is a company or professional entity).
PayPal is a payment service provided by PayPal Inc., which allows the User to make payments online using their own PayPal credentials.
This type of services allow the use of the User’s Data for the purpose of commercial communication in various advertising forms such as banners, also in relation to the User’s interests.

5. Registration and authentication
With the registration and authentication, the User allows the Crowdbooks website to identify them and give them access to the dedicated services. According to the following indications, the registration and authentication services could be provided with the help of third party services. Where this takes place, the Crowdbooks website could access some Data conserved by third party services used for registration and authentication.

AdWords Remarketing is a Remarketing and Behavioural Targeting service supplied by Google Inc. which links the activity on the Crowdbooks website with the AdWords advertising network and DoubleClick Cookies.

Google Analytics with anonymous IP (Google Inc.)
Google Analytics is a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google uses the collected data for the purpose of tracing and examining the use of the Crowdbooks website, compiling reports and sharing them with other services developed by Google. The integration of Google Analytics makes your IP address anonymous. This anonymization works by abbreviating, within the confines of EU state members or those adhering to the EEC, the User’s IP address. Only in exceptional cases, will the IP address be sent to Google’s servers and abbreviated within the United States.

Monitoring and conversion of Facebook Ads is a statistics service provided by Facebook Inc., which links the data from the Facebook announcement network with the actions performed inside the Crowdbooks site.

Unique Device Identification
The Crowdbooks website can trace Users by saving an identification code that is unique to their device for the collection of statistics or to save the User preferences.
Further information on Data holding
The User’s Personal Data can be used for defence by the Holder in legal matters or during the phases leading to its establishment, from abuse by the User in the use of the services or those connected.
LThe User declares that they are aware that the Holder could be asked to reveal the Data upon request from public authorities.
System and maintenance Logs
For necessary motives related to operation and maintenance, the Crowdbooks website, and eventual third party services used by it, could collect system Logs, i.e. files which register interactions which could also contain Personal Data such as User IP addresses.

Further information relating to the holding of Personal Data can be requested from the Holder of the Handled Data in any moment using the contact information provided.
Execution of rights by the User
The subjects to whom the Personal Data refers have the right, in any moment, to have confirmation of the existence of any Personal Data held by the Holder of the Handled Data, to know its content and origins, to verify the accuracy or request the integration, cancellation, update, correction, conversion into anonymous form or blocking of Personal Data held in violation of the law, as well as to oppose in any case, for legitimate reasons, to its holding. All requests will be directed to the Holder of the Handled Data.
The Crowdbooks web site does not support “Do Not Track” requests.
To know if any eventual third party services used support them, the User is invited to consult the relative privacy policies.

Personal Data refers to any information related to physical people, identified or identifiable, even indirectly, through reference to any other information, including a personal identification number.
This is the information automatically by the Crowdbooks web site (or by third party applications used by the Crowdbooks site), among which is: IP addresses or domain names of the devices used by the Users that connect to the Crowdbooks site, the URI notation addresses (Uniform Resource Identifier), the time of the request, the method used to make the request to the server, the size of the file received in reply, the numeric code indicating the state of the reply from the server (OK, error, etc.), the country of origin, the browser characteristics and operating system used by the visitor, the various time details of the visit( for example the length of time spent on each page) and the information related to the itinerary followed inside the Crowdbooks website, with particular reference to the sequence of the pages viewed, to the parameters relative to the operating system and the informatics environment of the User.
